Recently, I've been getting wayyy into Hermitcraft, like, unhealthy amounts. I loveee watching Hermitcraft.
If you don't know (which i assume u dont), it's basically a Minecraft server with a buncha popular minecraft youtubers. Not for everyone but my brain loves it.
Now, these hermitcraft youtubers have this stupid ass series that they call the Life Series and basically all of them have different gimmicks. The most current season is called Wild Life. The gimmick in this series is that literally anything can happen-- each episode has a randomized thing that happens to them.
For some background on me, pretty much all of my online friends in high school were the most stereotypical deviantart fetish weirdos imaginable. I was pathetic and craved attention so I loved to interact with these people. A fetish they all had in common was that they liked something called "g/t" which stands for "giant / tiny".
G/t is pretty much just liking the dynamic of a giant person and a smaller person. This shit has existed for a longgg time since like the 50s with that Attack of the Giant Woman movie. Now, it lives and grows (see, grow is a funny word when talking about this cause another common trope is character growing to a large size...) on Deviantart and furaffinity, creating the most horrible (but also quite funny) images imaginable.
Because of me being friends with these "g/t likers" for so long, im now hyper aware of whenever it appears in anything. Its a horrible curse and I dont recommend it.
ok, so what does this have to do with this random Minecraft series on Youtube?? Well the first episode's whole "gimmick" IS THAT THEY GROW AND SHRINK!!! THEYRE HUGE!!! BUT THEY CAN ALSO SHRINK!?!?!? And it is SO ODD how much attention they bring to it....
All of the thumbnails look look straight out of some 32 year old's Deviantart page it's SCARY!!
Do i think they did this on purpose? HELL NO!!!! But is it really odd when you are a little weirdo freak and think about it too hard?? YES!!!!!!

This one in particular gets me because it is what the g/t people call a "growth sequence". People LOVE these things. Classic G/T trope. Especially the "what is happening!!" like..i have seen this same exact image a billion times... I wonder if while creating their thumbnails they came across g/t stuff and just had to ignore it... idk..
and this one too.. that is LITERALLY WHAT YOU WOULD TITLE A G/T ARTWORK!!!! I honestly really wish my mind wasnt such a polluted mess!!!
Now, this was the gimmick for the first episode, but get this... IT COMES BACK!!!! Episode 4's gimmick is that they have to answer trivia questions about the Life Series and Hermitcraft and one of the punishments is that they GROW!!!!! hor. i. ble. ARGGH!!!!!!!
The thing that makes this the funniest thing ever to me is that i just KNOW there's some kid out there watching these videos and looking at these thumbnails and having the WORST revelation ever and having their brain chemistry completely altered in a way that cannot be undone. Horrible. but also.. really funny
